PlayBrain Inc. (headquartered in Shinagawa, Tokyo, hereafter referred to as PlayBrain) is excited to announce that its esports enthusiast portal, “TAIYORO,” has been chosen as the Japanese broadcasting partner for the “GeoGuessr World Cup 2023.”
The “GeoGuessr World Cup 2023,” the first-ever World Cup for the geography exploration game “GeoGuessr,” is set to take place in Stockholm, Sweden, on October 13th and 14th. With a prize pool of $50,000, the competition will feature 24 of the game's elite players, including Shiina from Japan, all competing for the world champion title.
PlayBrain will plan and manage the Japanese broadcast of the tournament, with game caster Kunio Ebie and GeoGuessr accredited player Daig_O providing commentary in Japanese. The broadcast will be available on Daig_O’s YouTube channel.
